This sign (different words) has been on this van with different
messages since September of 2003. Obvious content regulation attempt,
by frantic city officials and a highly unconstitutional violation of
the first amendment.
They are flagrantly trying to shut citizen first amendment right to
expose city wrong doing. Watch this one, we intend to be all over
this. Van sign draws twice the hits of the Marquee sign on 12th
street. Also Out pulls Expensive Argus ad by better then triple.

Update
The $280 newsrack installed on the sidewalk near Walmart was STOLEN
(removed, went missing etc.)
Replaced immediately. Walmart claims no connection,
police theft report filed. Had no money, looked like this...
City Hall and Library sidewalk newsracks "City Harassment"
papers removed (stolen by guess who) daily as fast as inserted.. Other
six only public pick up...
April
11th Update
Second $280 newspaper vending machine stolen from sidewalk in
front of Walmart west. (no money in machine) Police report filed.
Third machine being installed Saturday. Theft and removal of papers at
library and city hall machines has stopped. Argus schedules article
for Thursday the 12th. |
