Star Of Our Abandoned Property
Stored in our back yard |

Definition of Abandoned property: Anything that has not been moved or used in 90 days is considered to be "ABANDONED PROPERTY' even in padlocked, no see thru fenced yard. Every March or thereabouts., we stop using our Snow Blower and store it in our backyard. It is not used or moved until the following December, usually. (sometimes as early as November) This means our "Snowblower" has been abandoned for NINE MONTHS and has not been moved or used. Therefore, since it is used and also looks like JUNK, it may also attract rodents and children may get in the fenced yard and get hurt on it, plus we can not prove our snow blower is not a public nuisance, this ABANDONED PROPERTY can not be stored in our (triple the usual commercial back yard size in the area) fenced chained and padlocked storage and equipment service yard. This is also true of our Trailer which we have available when we have too much on a trip to get in a regular vehicle, which may not happen for months. We store this in our back yard to be readily available and handy for use, but no longer meets city approval "since they have had a complaint". We are looking at options and the only workable, current use for this $75,000 piece of property we pay large taxes on annually is to use it as a vegetable garden, (can find anything else we can use it for. Actually we have planted trees etc to shield this horror from public view so not as much sun as may be needed. Though we are not sure what complaint the neighbor will come up with on that. Actually, immaterial...he just calls and the city comes out and will find something.
