Citizens will be able to access a list of one years worth of citations for code violations issued by the City.

The new "public" list covers a one year time frame and is updated daily.

Typically, citations are issued following notice and based upon nuisance conditions present at a particular address at the time of the City inspection.

Code enforcement citations are issued by the City of Sioux Falls in order to assist with their efforts that are needed, according to the release, to gain "voluntary compliance" with ordinances.

The press release also points out that code enforcement is primarily complaint-based. Therefore, if persons observing potential code violations should feel free to contact the City's Code Enforcement Officer at 367-8613.
