Has Freedom Gone Down The Tube In Sioux Falls?

Property ownership and rights that go with that ownership is the basis of the free enterprise system and is at the very foundation of the concept of "freedom" in general.

In feudal times the Monarch and whoever 'Buddies" he parceled out favors to where deemed to own nearly everything.

The entire system was based on the head of state owned the country and he could collect taxes...(rent) on almost everything.

The American revolution changed all that.

No head of state owned anything. The right to private property was set up to identify who owned what and ownership came about by mixing their labor with nature.

The idea that land users were tied to the King (government) and you had to have permission from the King to use this property to your advantage went down the tube.

However, they figured out taxes were necessary to fund limited and necessary government.

Now that taxation ability of government is getting out of hand and "unnecessary rules" promulgated on use of your property, so we are getting back toward the government "absolute control" of everything.

You no longer can control it for your use and enjoyment but you must still pay taxes on it.

This insidious movement back to "government" owns and controls what you can do with your property, this concept and trend has been allowed to develop (as citizens are picked off one by one) to the point it now conflicts with the very idea of the right to private property and the right to one's life and liberty.

There is more to this then just the city of Sioux Falls government imposed bureaucracy treating you unfairly.

Yes.....

There is more to this then just you and/or me being really pissed about it.....
